Darius Rucker’s set mixed his latest music with classic throwbacks at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Friday night (September 17).

Rucker is one of the most recent additions to the star-studded festival lineup. He’s is one of several artists to take the iHeartRadio Music Festival stage on Friday night, along with Walker HayesCheap TrickDua LipaFINNEASJ. Cole, WeezerNelly and special guests Florida Georgia Line.

Of course, Rucker’s Friday night set wouldn’t be complete without the only B.S. anyone needs: “Beers And Sunshine,” the feel-good summer anthem he released last year. “…I don’t know how we fix any of these big, real issues that we’re facing, but while we work through this time, I think it’s important that we find the silver lining where we can really enjoy the little moments and the simple joys of time spent together with friends and family,” Rucker said in a press release last year, introducing the song.

The “Beers And Sunshine” singer also included summer song in set list when he hosted his 12th Annual “Darius and Friends” Concert benefitting St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The fundraiser happened at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium last month. The night included performances by Brothers OsborneElvie ShaneJohn DalyKeb MoJason Aldean and Runaway June, in addition to the headliner himself.

Other fan-favorite songs in the lineup included ones that he performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival: “Come Back Song,” the Hootie & The Blowfish track “Hold My Hand,” and others, according to the highlight reel Rucker shared on Instagram. Friday night’s set included two Hootie & The Blowfish throwbacks: “Only Wanna Be With You” and “Hold My Hand.” Rucker’s finale was a surefire sing-along, his 2013 track “Wagon Wheel.”

If you missed any of the action this weekend, you can relive the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival by tuning in to The CW Network on Saturday, October 2nd and Sunday, October 3rd from 8-10pm ET/PT for a two-night television special.
