Matthew Ramsey has “officially made it now,” according to his mother, but not because of Old Dominion’s award-winning music. Instead, the band’s frontman shared on Instagram that “ my mom thinks I’ve officially made it now” because his name appeared in an answer on Jeopardy!

“Buchanan, in this state, is a beautiful storybook town for Matthew Ramsey of the band Old Dominion, who grew up there,” host Ken Jennings said in the clip that the band shared on Instagram. One of the contestants correctly responded, “What is Virginia?”

Some of Old DOminion’s Instagram followers commented, “Yes, you know you’ve made it when there is a question about you on jeopardy.💙,” “Extra points that Ken pronounced it right. 🙌🙌,” “FAMOUS!!!!!!!🙌🙌,” and “You've definitely made it😀,” to name a few.

Old Dominion’s first-ever full-length album made its debut in 2015. Meat and Candy was known for singles like “Snapback,” “Brake Up with Him” and “Song for Another Time,” among other fan-favorites. They’ve since become known for hits like “Hotel Key,” “One Man Band,” “Make It Sweet,” “I Was On A Boat That Day,” “No Hard Feelings,” “No Such Thing as a Broken Heart” and many others.

Most recently, the band released Memory Lane, an 8-track EP that includes the mash-hit title track, “I Should Have Married You,” “Easier Said With Rum” and other highlights. Ramsey promised when he announced the EP’s release date at an Old Dominion show at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre that “we got a lot more music coming for you throughout this year.”
