Shania Twain famously name-dropped Brad Pitt in her iconic late 1990s anthem, “That Don’t Impress Me Much.” But now, nearly 30 years after releasing the track on her smash-hit album Come On Over, the global megastar said she would swap out Pitt for another celebrity.

No, it isn’t Ryan Reynolds, despite Twain unexpectedly swapping out Pitt’s name for Reynolds’ while she was on stage performing “That Don’t Impress Me Much” during the 2022 People’s Choice Awards last December. Reynolds embraced the surprise name swap, saying when he shared a clip of the performance on his Instagram story that “this may be the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

“Okay, so you’re Brad Pitt/ That don’t impress me much/ So you got the looks, but have you got the touch?/ Now, don’t get me wrong — yeah, I think you’re alright/ But that won’t keep me warm in the middle of the night/ That don’t impress me much.”

Twain, however, reveals in an interview earlier this year that if she wrote “That Don’t Impress Me Much” in 2023, she would instead select Channing Tatum to name-drop in the iconic single. She included that fact and others in a new pop-up video featuring some facts about the song and Paul Boyd-directed music video in a clip shared on TikTok on Monday (November 20).

Twain also noted that she filmed the “That Don’t Impress Me Much” video in the Mojave Desert, that she wrote the song on Christmas Day and more. Watch it here:
