Luke Bryan shared a glimpse of a behind-the-scenes sing-along moment with the American Idol audience.
The Idol judge — alongside Lionel Richie and first-time judge Carrie Underwood — shared a clip on Instagram on Sunday night (April 27). Bryan and the Idol crowd sand “Play It Again” together. The five-time Entertainer of the Year released the No. 1 single on his 13-track studio album, Crash My Party, in 2013. The record also included the title track, “That’s My Kind Of Night,” “Roller Coaster,” “Drink A Beer” and more.
“She was like, ‘Oh, my God, this is my song/ I’ve been listenin' to the radio all night long/ Sittin' 'round, waitin' for it to come on and here it is’/ She was like, ‘Come here boy, I wanna dance’/ ‘Fore I said a word she was takin' my hand/ Spinnin' me around 'til it faded out/ And she gave me a kiss/ And she said, ‘Play it again, play it again, play it again’/ And I said, ‘Play it again, play it again, play it again’”
Underwood, who is serving as a judge for the first time 20 years after she won the show in 2005, recently shared a similar behind-the-scenes moment from American Idol. Last week, she shared a glimpse of her own sing-along moment when she and the audience sang “Before He Cheats” during a commercial break.
